De La Salle Jersey - Fundraising Week for Shelter Trust Jersey

Thank You De La Salle College!

We would like to extend our grateful thanks to the students, staff, and families of De La Salle College for their amazing support during last week’s Fundraising Week for The Shelter Trust.

Across all year groups, students showed remarkable creativity, compassion, and community spirit as they raised funds and awareness for individuals/families experiencing homelessness in Jersey. Their efforts were inspiring:

• Year 7 ran a lively Wheel of Fortune Raffle, with a coveted non-uniform day up for grabs.
• Year 8 built towering fun with a Can Tower Challenge, using donated tins.
• Year 9 delighted everyone with a Sweet Sale, offering treats throughout the day.
• Year 10 added excitement with a Lucky Dip, full of surprises.
• Year 11 showed deep commitment by participating in a Sponsored Sleep-In, raising awareness through an overnight stay at school.
• Year 12 hosted a mouthwatering Cake Sale, featuring homemade bakes generously brought in by students.

In addition to these fantastic activities, the entire school took part in a Tinathon food drive, collecting tinned goods to support the provision of meals across Shelter's projects and in the distribution of food parcels to people struggling in our community.

The week wrapped up with a Dress Down Day, with all proceeds going directly to The Shelter Trust.

These initiatives were a powerful demonstration of Lasallian values in action. Through teamwork, generosity and a shared commitment to helping others, De La Salle students made a real difference.  Thank you!
