The Shelter Trust Wishlist

Please think of The Shelter Trust if you find that you have household items or clothes that you no longer have use for. This is just some of the everyday items that we would consider:    

• Single bed linen
• Single bed quilts
• Pillows
• Tea / coffee mugs
• Crockery
• Cutlery
• Toiletries
• Bath Towels
• Clothing (winter and summer)
• Clothing suitable for young people under 25 and for babies and toddlers
• New underwear
• Socks
• Shoes & trainers
• Steel toecap work boots
• Work overalls
• Hair clippers
• Cleaning materials
• Laptops for service users – don’t throw your old one out!
• Tradesmen and those with general building maintenance skills to donate some of their time.

If you do have any items to donate, please contact us on tel 730235 and we will arrange collection. Or, and even better, if you can drop them off at one of our projects, we can also save on our costs.

Please contact us before dropping off goods so that we can be sure they will go where they are needed and we would ask that donated items are in  good and clean condition – it costs us in time and money to dispose of items that are not.

Finally, we often receive offers of good quality furniture but sadly we sometimes have to turn the items down as we don't have anywhere to store them.  We are always on the lookout for substantial dry secure storage that could be used throughout the year to keep furniture for use at a later date.  Perhaps you can help? Do you have a large weatherproof shed or garage that we could use?
