Operation Xmas Eve 2015
For the second year running, the staff and service users at The Shelter Trust have been very fortunate to receive delivery of cakes and goodies on Christmas Day morning, from the Gomes Family, who run the Atlantique Seafood Bar in Wests Centre.
As with the previous year, as soon as the restaurant had closed on Christmas Eve, the Gomes Family and their extended family and friends (also known as Operation Christmas Eve) all mucked in to create a whole feast of cakes and fancies for everybody to enjoy over the Christmas period.
These were delivered to residents and staff at Aztec House, Strathmore, Evans House and Midvale Road.
In total, across our four sites, we had over 80 Service Users staying with us (as residents) on Christmas Day. We also played host to a number of others who joined us for Christmas Lunch.
